Volunteer Spotlight
Karen Ruff has volunteered for Komen Greater Fort Worth for the past four years and has been active in many different capacities. She is organized, energetic, and enthusiastic, sharing her talents and her knowledge of Komen with those she meets. Karen has represented us at many health fairs around Tarrant County. She has wrapped Christmas packages at Ridgmar Mall, one of our Affiliates largest sponsors, raising funds for the Affiliate in the process. As a Komen Educator, Karen is part of our speakers’ Bureau, speaking to organizations on our behalf. She was a chairperson for I AM THE CURE in 2009, serves on the 2011 Race for the Cure Committee, has volunteered for Pink Sunday packet stuffing, organized the education material in our store room, and volunteered at Komen on the Go at UTA. With dedicated volunteers like Karen, the Greater Fort Worth Affiliate makes an impact on many lives. Our thanks to Karen, a multi-talented and much appreciated Komen activist!
