Dear Komen Friend ,
Always wanted to influence fashion? Here's your chance to Impact the wardrobe of 1.5 million people! Between now and Nov. 8, you can select one of three designs for the 2010 Race for the Cure. Tarrant County's Race is one of the earliest, so not only will you get a voice in choosing the shirt, you'll be one of the first who gets to sport the new design! And remember, 75 percent of the money raised by the $5 donation for the vote comes to us and stays right here in Tarrant County. See the three shirt designs.

Firefighters will be wearing artistically decorated bras to raise money for Komen. Do you really need more info to know you want to be there? The Women's Council for Realtors is hosting the first ever Bras for the Cause event at the Glass Cactus on Oct. 19. Sponsors have donated and decorated the bras and the firefighters have graciously agreed to model them. Then they'll be auctioned off to raise cash for us. Visit their Web site for ticket information.
Love Chick-fil-a Nuggets? Think you could out-eat others in a Nugget Eating Contest? Chick-fil-a at Hawk's Creek is hosting an Eat for the Cure Nugget Eating Contest on Saturday, October 24. On Friday, Oct. 2 Keller Central High and Keller High Schools turned a cross-town rivarly into a fabulous fundraiser with their second annual breast cancer awareness football game. The schools worked for weeks in advance of the game, selling T-shirts and other items to raise money.
The stadium was blanketed in pink! They've already raised $20,000 (wow!), and they're continuing to take donations through the end of October.
It's donors like these that are Komen's greatest asset. Thank you so much to each and everyone of our donors for their generosity and work.
We especially thank the following for donations made in the month of September.
