Worship in Pink

Susan G. Komen Greater Fort Worth has developed "Worship in Pink," formerly Pink Sunday, in an effort to partner with local churches and faith-based organizations to educate congregations on breast health and breast cancer, and to raise awareness of the disease and the importance of early detection. Worship in Pink is sponsored by The Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders.

We invite local churches and faith-based organizations in our service area to register to receive educational packets that discuss risk factors and the critical role of early detection in saving lives from breast cancer. Be sure to encourage your congregation to wear PINK to show their support, to honor Survivors, and to remember those who have lost their battle with breast cancer.

There are many other ways you can celebrate Worship in Pink at your church:

  • Celebrate survivors with PINK flowers
  • Create a Wall of Hope with names of Survivors and those who have lost their battle with breast cancer
  • Conduct a candlelight prayer service
  • Ask a Survivor to tell her story during the service so others may benefit from her experience
  • Host a reception after the your service

Worship in Pink occurs annually in the month of October. Please contact Amy Hatfield with any questions at 817-735-8580.
