Go Passionately Pink to help save lives! — Just wear pink, have fun and raise money to fight breast cancer. Be inspired by the multitude of ideas right here, or think of your own. There are so many creative ways to have fun and fight breast cancer.
A minimum of 25 percent of the net income from each domestic Affiliate Race supports the national Komen for the Cure Grant Program, which funds groundbreaking breast cancer research, meritorious awards and educational and scientific conferences around the world. Up to 75 percent of the net income from each domestic Affiliate Race stays in the local community to fund breast health education, breast cancer screening, treatment and treatment support.
Community Profile
The Community Profile is a needs assessment document that provides an overview of the breast health needs in our service area. Based on these findings, the Greater Fort Worth Affiliate establishes Affiliate priorities. These priorities guide our strategic planning and grant making priorities. Please familiarize yourself with this document before developing your applications.
Brief Summary of Priorities
Based on The Community Profile findings and analyses, our Affiliate established the following priorities:
1. Increase number of screening mammograms in the four county service area.
2. Develop and implement targeted and culturally sensitive outreach and education programs.
3. Increase fundraising revenue.
4. Promote a vigorous public policy and advocacy program.
