Birdies for Charities

Komen Tarrant County is honored to once again be one of a few local non-profit organizations that have been selected to participate in the 2010 Birdies for Charity campaign. Pledges from individuals and corporations for every birdie made during the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial can benefit our organization. In 2009, 1,412 birdies were recorded during the tournament.

This year, as a bonus, Komen Tarrant County will have the opportunity to earn additional contributions from Colonial’s Matching Fund. We welcome pledges or straight donations. Colonial will give 15% for every donation we get for this program. For more information please visit the Birdies for Charity information page.

Want to raise money for Komen Tarrant County and get some exercise while doing it? Walk for the Cure sponsored by Texas Oncology will be Saturday, May 29th at the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial. Contact Ruby Sellers at rsellers@komentarrant.org to arrange pick up your pedometer, then ask friends and family to get pledges for every step you take at the golf tournament.
